Dec 20th / 1 note †This is my cousin Robert Northrup. Today is his 30ty birthday. 4 years ago he was taken from us due to the bone cancer Osteosarcoma. The cancer started out as a tumor in his knee. It grew to the size of a basketball and got to his bones. The cancer spread up to his lungs and tumors started growing there. When he was diagnosed he was told he had only 1 year to live. He lived past the 1 year mark. He had his right leg amputated. When the tumors in his right lung stopped growing, he was scheduled to get the left one removed and he would most likely live. The day of his surgery they checked his right lung again and found out the tumors started growing again. He died in January of 2007.
I saw him 3 days before he died. The last time I got to talk to him, he said “Don’t be afraid to come by again and say ‘whats up!’”
I never got to do that again.
Life is so unfair and is sometimes too short. Take the time to reblog this please and tell your loved ones how much you care about. And take the time to tell them “what’s up” because it may be the last time you are able to.
